Welcome
When I was young I dreamt of having a tall building where I could spend the rest of my life. At every floor I could practice another job. Vet, archeologist, biologist, restaurant owner, illustrator, pirate, discoverer... It was all possible. My husband would do my administration in the top of the building.
Many years later the building is non-existing and the paperwork I do myself. Still a big part of my dream came true. It's impossible to fit my artistry in a nice. I am illustrator teacher/ speaker/ tourleader but most of all treasure hunter.
The story is the treasure. Together or alone. I search for stories to be told. If the listener remembers one detail from what I have found then my job is done. The result could be a drawing but also an experience. Community art has taken an important place in my work. It feels good to work with people and the world became my studio.
A while ago one of my clients told me: "Hoi-Shan, you will create your own job!" I think she is right.
